With over 25 years in the industry we offer a comprehenshive, easy and hassle free fireplace installation service.

Fitting a gas or solid fuel fireplace is not a DIY job and must be undertaken by fully qualified and registered engineers.

All the engineers from Berkshire Fireplace Centre are fully qualified for the jobs they undertake and will provide you with the peace of mind that the installation has been done professionally and in accordance with UK safety standards.

Our team from the showroom will contact you when your fireplace has arrived and arrange a convenient date for installation. We take responsibility for the entire installation and will endeavour to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

When the job is completed, you will be provided with a certificate (Gas Safe for gas fires or HETAS for solid fuel) that confirms that all regulations have been complied with and you should keep this certificate in a safe place as you will be asked to produce it if you should ever decide to sell your property.

Our fitting service is available in all areas within a 20 mile radius of Reading including Reading, Maidenhead, Henley, Ascot, Bracknell, Wokingham, Newbury, Thatcham and Basingstoke.

We regret that we are unable to install fires and fireplaces that have not been purchased from the showroom.

We cover areas within a 20 mile radius of our showroom (346-348 Oxford Road, Reading, Berkshire). The main areas within this that we cover are: Reading, Maidenhead, Henley, Ascot, Bracknell, Wokingham, Newbury, Thatcham and Basingstoke.

Unfortunately we only offer installation on fireplaces purchased through our showroom.

If you want us to install your fireplace we will first conduct a free home survey to ensure that the fire can be fitted safely.

We provide a free home visit where one of our experienced surveyors will come out to your home and check that the fireplace is suitable for your chimney and at the same time can assess the work that will be involved in the installation. They will be able to give you a quote for the installation work and answer any questions that you may have regarding the installation process.

When the installation is completed, you will be provided with either a Gas Safe certificate (for gas fires) or a HETAS certificate (for solid fuel fires) that confirms that all regulations have been followed during the installation.

Yes, once you've decided what you want us to put in, we'll carry out a technical survey, to make sure everything fits and can be installed safely by our qualified Gas Safe and HETAS engineers.

Yes, we have a driveway between ourselves and the White Eagle pub garden or you can use the Tesco development which is accessible from Portman Road. Park and walk up to Oxford Road, with Tesco on your right, and turn left. We're a few doors down.

Yes, there is a ramp leading through the double doors into the showroom.

Mum and I visited a few months ago and were assisted by a young gentleman (I've forgotten his name, sorry). He politely greeted us, answered some questions, and left us to to browse, before assisting us with putting in an order. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and lovely. Prior to this we had also called as mum has mobility issues and we were unsure of parking, and he said we could pull up in the staff parking area.
