Our home town
Fireplace installation in Reading
Our home town since 1998, and the centre of the 20-mile radius we work within.
Fires, stoves and fireplaces fitted in Reading
Berkshire Fireplace Centre has provided fireplace, fire and stove services across Reading and the surrounding areas since 1998. Every installation is carried out by Gas Safe and HETAS registered engineers and certified on completion.
Reading has both ends of the fireplace spectrum: Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Caversham, Earley and Tilehurst, where openings are small and old chimneys may need lining, and newer homes that often have no flue at all. The survey tells us which kind of job yours is.
Around Reading
As well as Reading itself, we cover Caversham, Earley, Tilehurst, Woodley, Emmer Green, Calcot, Theale, Purley-on-Thames and Sonning — and anywhere else within 20 miles of Reading.
How it works in Reading
Since our Reading showroom closed on 31 March 2026 we work entirely from in-home consultations. That is genuinely better news if you are in Reading: instead of driving to Reading to see a range, the range comes to you — brochures, finish samples and someone who has fitted these appliances for 25 years.
The consultation is free, the technical survey afterwards is free, and there is no obligation at the end of either.

“Had a Gazco Vogue Midi stove installed in the conservatory, alongside the required gas works. Excellent job completed by Matthew and Graham (father and son team). Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful as well as being immaculately clean and tidy. Looks brilliant — would highly recommend.”

“Highly recommend. Fitted our Gazco 135R electric fire with very little mess or disruption. The fitting and making good all to a very high standard. Very happy with the finished job. Looks amazing.”
